WILD FOR PURPOSE

You're capable of more than you've been given credit for…

Wild for Purpose helps women and people of colour break through the barriers that talent alone can't shift, and build careers that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside.

Our Philosophy

Oubaitori (oh-buy-toe-ree)

The Japanese concept that people bloom in their own time and in their own ways, just like flowers.

There's no single timeline for success. No single path to the top. Wild for purpose is built on that belief.

You’ve Worked Hard!

You've delivered results. And still, something feels stuck. Maybe you've been passed over. Maybe you're not sure which direction to move in next. Maybe you know exactly where you want to go, but you can't quite get there alone.

That’s where coaching comes in

Coaching with Wild for Purpose isn't generic advice. It's built on nearly 20 years inside the rooms where promotions get decided, paired with evidence-based practice like DISC profiling. You'll leave each session with a clearer read on how you work best, and a plan for putting it to use.

Lou Nylander

FOUNDER

I'm Lou, an ICF-accredited executive coach and self-confessed chaotic squirrel (the raving kind).

I coach women, people of colour, neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ folks navigating the glass ceiling. Really, I coach anyone who's ever felt like they don't quite belong. I've been that person, doing brilliant work while quietly wondering when someone would notice. Now I help others get seen, get promoted and get paid.

My coaching draws on nearly 20 years in senior marketing leadership, so I know boardrooms, politics and promotion cycles from the inside. I pair that lived experience with evidence-based practice, including DISC profiling, to help you understand how you work best and use it to your advantage.

The squirrel bit? My brain runs on ADHD. It's why my coaching makes room for every kind of mind, including yours.

Testimonial

"I'd been thinking about getting a career coach for a while and Lou was exactly what I needed. She has amazing energy and a genuine passion for helping underrepresented people get the careers they deserve. If you're feeling stuck at work, trying to break into a new role, or just need someone in your corner, I'd recommend her without hesitation." - KP
